“I remember one night. I was sitting with a COVID patient, and there was a little boy who had contracted the COVID virus.

He had to be transported to another hospital and he didn’t understand why his mother couldn’t ride with him in the ambulance. He had a whole bunch of questions, and he didn’t know, was he going to live or die. And those questions I heard him asking staff…you know…and that made me feel some type of way about that.

Because that was the first child I saw that had the virus…

My daughter, she’s one and a half. She lives with my ex. It’s been about a month and a half since I saw her. You know, that’s when things really kind of started picking up and I snuck a visit.

Now I simply just can’t be around her.

But that doesn’t mean I love my daughter any less. It actually means I love her more because I’m not bringing that around her.

And that’s putting a strain, but I’m around COVID patients every day, you know, and some are asymptomatic. I could be asymptomatic, who knows?

But that doesn’t mean I love my daughter any less. It actually means I love her more because I’m not bringing that around her.

You know, it’s been tough. Zoom has been my best friend. So I’m able to video chat with her, and she can see me. But it is stressful.

I want people to know that COVID is real.

Regardless of your beliefs, or how you feel, wear a mask. For your fellow brothers and sisters, because I’ve seen people die by this.

This is real and it won’t go down till we all start practicing social distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, and taking the necessary precautions to slow the spread.

I know there’s people out there that say it’s a hoax. I want to know how? How can you say that? I’ve seen people die from this.

I know there’s people out there that say it’s a hoax. I want to know how? How can you say that? I’ve seen people die from this.

Just treat it like what it is–a pandemic. A lot of us have never seen anything like this in our lives, so we are day-to-day with it and learning. Out of respect, wear masks so you don’t infect others, and others don’t infect you. These things have to be done. There’s no exception to it.
